Jason writes:

"I believe what makes me a good coach is that I've never really had a background in endurance sports until college. Just like many triathletes, I struggled with learning things like proper swimming technique and how to train effectively. I've worked hard to become a competitive age group triathlete and along the way have helped many others achieve their goals. I've been coaching for nine years and have learned how to effectively coach triathletes of all levels. Who is the best coach for you? The one that listens to you, understands your needs, communicates effectively, helps you to learn, and motivates you. This person doesn't need to be a pro triathlete. It's someone that understands the differences between the science of training, the art of training, what works in the real world, and what doesn't."
